What do the prefixes on course titles indicate?

BLEN/BLN
Hybrid online & infrequent traditional in-class course delivery: Blended courses meet infrequently - generally a few times during the semester - and features an online component that constitutes the majority of the course. Blended courses will generally require special permission for entry so department may apprise students of the online course requirements and discuss the expectations for the course. Most SUNY Cortland blended courses are offered at the graduate level.

WEB
Online or distance learning course: Online courses will generally require special permission for entry so departments may apprise students of the online course requirements and discuss the expectations for the course.

HYBR
Hybrid online & weekly traditional in-class course delivery: Hybrid courses meet weekly, and have an online component. Hybrid courses will generally require special permission for entry so department may apprise students of the online course requirements and discuss the expectations for the course.

TP/TOPIC
Special Topics courses. Special topics course offerings and subject matter will vary from semester to semester. Please review the online course schedule and/or department descriptions for special topics courses.
